 I graduated from The Midwest
School of Dog Grooming in the fall of 1987. Before
that I attended college while working at the Downers
Grove Animal Medical Clinic. After receiving my
grooming certificate, I worked at Shear Perfection in
Clarendon Hills. I worked there for a couple of
years and became the shop manager. From there I
went to work at Sylvia's Dog Grooming in Darien for a
year while I started to build a business from my home.
I began Pretty Paws in 1991 and have been grooming ever
since. Sometimes more and sometimes less,
depending on what my life entailed.
I used to groom
all sizes but have now restricted it to 35 pounds and
under. Sometimes with the bigger dogs you need
help handling them and it became too difficult being
that I work by myself. I have always enjoyed grooming,
and my success has shown me that I am good at it too. |
